This is contained in an address by the National Coordinator of Tinubu National Think-Tank (TNT), Amb (Dr) Adewale Adeogun. and presented at the world press conference on mid-term assessment and two years in office of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR on wednesday, 28th of may, 2025 at TNT Corporate Headquarters.

Our Perspective on President Bola Tinubu’s Speech from the National Summit and Its Effect on the National Economy
2025 TNT report card.

Today, we celebrate the hope that is on the horizon.

This renewed hope is driving our national economy toward greatness.

We gather here to remind Nigerians of the progress we have made so far.

Our evaluation of the administration’s performance is based on three key metrics: infrastructure, food security, and shelter/security.

Each of these metrics aligns with Maslow’s theory of needs, which is essential for fostering a self-actualized society.

President Bola Tinubu and his team have achieved remarkable progress, akin to what we observe in countries like Dubai, particularly in infrastructural development.

We currently have over 440 ongoing road projects nationwide, including constructing 2,700 km of superhighways.

In the rail sector, the federal government plans to complete the 284-kilometre Kano-Jigawa-Katsina-Maradi Rail Project by 2026.

Furthermore, President Tinubu has committed to finishing the Eastern Rail line that connects Port Harcourt to Maiduguri. Notably, the 62-kilometre Port Harcourt-Aba railway project has been completed and is now operational. This will facilitate improved commerce, allowing Nigerians to efficiently transport goods from ports to land.

Regarding food security, we must recall the national protests held over the high prices of staple foods like garri and rice.

From Lagos to Port Harcourt, citizens voiced their frustration over unaffordable prices. During the APC national summit, President Tinubu confirmed that the rising costs of these items were artificially created by price speculators and elites. I am pleased to announce that the price of garri has now become more affordable for the poor, easing their burden and effectively countering the cartels that were hoarding food. The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security has taken significant steps to address high food prices, positively impacting farmers’ lives.

On shelter and security, the Renewed Hope Social Housing Programme aims to provide homes for low-income earners, the unemployed, vulnerable groups, and Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), encompassing both formal and informal sectors.

Additionally, the federal government plans to construct 100 housing units in each of the 774 local government areas across the country, totalling 77,400 units.

Security has also seen improvements.

Numerous human rights and civil society organizations have acknowledged the enhanced state of security across the country.

Terrorists, insurgents, and other criminal elements have faced intensified military operations, and we can confidently state that the security situation has improved over the past year.

The stay-at-home order in the South-East has faded, with residents feeling more at ease, similar to the North-East and North-West. The military and other security forces have made significant strides in combating insurgency in Nigeria.

In the fight against crude oil theft, our pipeline security forces have been relentless in pursuing oil thieves and economic saboteurs, significantly curtailing the activities of vandals, boosting oil production, and reducing theft.

For the last two years, the world has awaited President Bola Tinubu’s remarks on reforms. His speech at the APC national summit was precisely aligned with what investors want to hear from a commander-in-chief. It is time for him to address the systemic rot and acknowledge that it stems from the very cabal that operates in what some might consider an underworld system.

How else can we explain the artificial inflation of food prices to serve selfish interests?

At this junction, I want to thank those who have stayed committed to the Renewed Hope Agenda of this Administration.

In no particular order, I salute the courage of Loyal members of the All Progressives Congress APC and, most importantly, the leaders and Members of Tinubu National Think-Tank TNT for their belief in our Principal, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Gcfr.

Politically and democratically speaking, the next activities have shifted to Anambra and Ekiti States. The President just gave his nod that he wished Anambra State needed to be fully integrated into the Progressive family through our candidate, Evangelist Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, whom we believe in.

In the case of Ekiti State, Engineer Kayode Ojo stands out as our preferred candidate to salvage the state from the current slow pace of its development.

In our view, Engineer Kayode Ojo, in both his private and public lives, has proven to be loyal, dedicated, and supportive of the aspirations of our principal, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Gcfr over the years. His membership in this special group also gave us enough opportunity to assess him as a better option in Ekiti State.

In Conclusion, Gentlemen of the Press, this World Press Conference will not be completed without my sincere gratitude to all those who have inspired us via their participation and regular robust engagement on our numerous platforms over the last two years. It is our hope that in our series 3.0, Nigeria would have been greater than this.
