By Abdulrahman Obaje
The National Chairman, Nigeria’s Liberty Movement, NLM Honourable Ambassador Thompsom Mishak said that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC is Regisitering New Political Party, and it is committed to Registering Nigeria’s Liberty Movement (NLM) as a party.
js">He reiterated this during a virtual meeting with top executives of NLM night of Thursday, January 16th, 2025 stressing the need for a formidable structural formation.
He said, “I have an important issue to discuss with you which is still part of the agenda, I was at the INEC today. In case you don’t know, we meet with the top people there. I have never been to INEC and meet with people who doesn’t matter.”
“So as usual, today I was with the commission secretary in the person of Rose. I am assuring this because I want to dispel the rumour, the falsehood by some channel that INEC is not registering a new political party.”
“We are not a lawless organisation, we are not a gathering of lawless people. In as much as you’ve agreed to be one of us you must play by the rule.”
“We are Nigerian youths ready to bring change to our country.”
Earlier on, he said, “NLM will put food on your table, NLM will put shelter on your head, NLM will give them the kind of life they want to live. Is that not what everybody is struggling for? ”
While stressing the need for the speedy formation of structure, Amb Mishak further said, “So I am making this emphasis tonight because I want all to understand that if we don’t get our structural formation, APC would rig elections, but once our structural formations are on ground, ladies and gentlemen the work is done. Because elections are rigged in the present of weak oppositions.”
“Our structural formation are so formidable that nobody, no Jupiter can rig elections.”
While Amb. Mishak commended states that have submitted their structural formation so far, he called out staets that are lagging behind in the business of structural formation business. He said, “Nasarawa state is lagging behind in the business of structural formation and I will challenge the Nasarawa state chairperson to sit up. Let me also challenge Plateau State. Plateau State is lagging behind, you need to wake up. Kwara State is another state that is lagging behind, Yobe State too is lagging behind; these are states who have done poorly in the total formation. ”
“Others; borno state have done virtually nothing. Abia state is lagging behind.”, he continued.
He further said, “We mean business here; you who are not ready to work, like the National Leader would always say, there is a room for resignation because what we are doing will come to lime light. So there is no room for doubt here, laxity. we need people who believe in the mission, who are not satisfied with the present state of the nation’s economy. Please intensify efforts. ”
“However, I commend state like Kogi State, I commend state like Benue State, I commend state like Bayelsa State, Katsina state, all the states in the north-west are doing well, I commend them.
It is very unfortunate. We are going to give ourselves a timeline between now and the end of February to complete our formation, we need to get our structural formation in place. This is the reason why we are yet to start all the projects we have outlined for Nigeria’s Liberty Movement.”
“This is the government that would bring goodies to your people; that would bring empowerment to your people; that would bring a lot of good things to your people.”
“So, let’s get it done because this is the timeline we were given. I don’t know what would become of us if we cannot get our structure after the end of February. And of course, if you fail, you should be willing to accept the consequences. There is no two ways about it.”
“A lot of you are doing your best, we are not saying that you are not trying, but use your initiative; all we need is the seven order of hierarchical structural formation completed.”
“Thank God we already have the National Leader, we have the board member, we have the state chairmen, we have the state Excos, and we have the local government supervisors completed.”
“We are now talking about the local government executives and the family mobilizers. In the pipeline, we are going to be recruiting polling unit agents.” he continued.
The chairman further revealed that Nigeria’s Liberty Movement is on the path to participate in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.
