Kogi Flood Relief Efforts: Gov Ododo Moves to Curb Impending Traffic Gridlock

The Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo led Kogi State Government has move to curb impending traffic gridlock in preparation for a possible flooding.

This is contained in a directive to the Flood Disaster Response Team to establish alternate routes in preparedness for flooding.

The opening is about 5km alternate route in Nyamanyama Village along Ganaja –Ajaokuta road,  serving as a bypass in case the main Ganaja road is submerged by a looming flood.

Governor Ododo’s swift measure according to a government house source exemplifies his administration’s commitment to the well-being of  commuters of the road and Kogi dwellers alike.

The road is a strategic link between northern States and several states in the east and flooding had in the past crippled vehicular movement and economic activities on the axis.

Governor Ododo’s directive coming at this crucial period is a proactive approach to preventing such traffic gridlock, and crippled economic activities.
