Maulud: Deputy Speaker, Wase Urges Muslims To Embrace Reforms.

The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon Ahmed Idris Wase, has congratulated muslims ummah as they celebrate the birth of the holy prophet Muhammad (SWT).

The Deputy Speaker in a statement marking this year’s Maulud, and signed by Umar Muhammad Puma, Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Speaker,
House of Representatives, called on muslims to promote love, unity and understanding and also encouraged religious leaders to use the period to spread love, tolerance and support for the ongoing reforms by the federal government.

“As we mark this year’s Eid Maulud, I wish to rejoice with our Muslim brothers and sisters and to urge that we take advantage of the occasion to renew our bond of unity and to continue to pray for peace, progress and stability of the nation,” he said.

“I want to call on our youth to emulate the teachings and virtues of the holy prophet and always resist individuals or groups that may sow seeds of division and hatred among them by inciting violence and instigating them against each other.

“The life of Prophet Muhammad and his teachings is filled with piety, unity, charity, peaceful coexistence and good neighbourliness. I urged us all to emulate these virtues and live in peace as we march towards building a nation of our dream.”

Maulud nabiy is a yearly celebration of the birth of Prophet Muhammed by the Muslim faithful’s around the world.

Oyelola in a chat with newsmen after picking his nomination form , expressed his readiness to work with executive to move NGIJ forward.

The Media Entrepreneur while reeling out his modest achievements said the guild has increased membership strength under his watch as Registrar, serving as Registrar for two terms (July 2020- July 20, 2024).

He appreciated the guild members across Nigeria for their support and solidarity over the years.

In a dazzling award ceremony held in Birmingham on June 26, Dr. Obohwemu, a multiple award-winning international author, triumphed over a competitive field of nominees from numerous academic institutions within the region.

This prestigious accolade recognizes exceptional teaching talent across university campuses in all regions of the West Midlands
