“Western Europe was developed with the sum of $15 billion dollars by an act passed in the year 1948 in the United States of America, after the second world war, known as the Marshall Act
“Nigeria has sunk over $50 billion US dollars in NDDC with nothing to show for it.
“This monumental fraud calls for an emergency to be declared on NDDC
“The anti-graft agencies should call for questionings of all former chief executives and officers of the Commission with a view to punishing those found wanting, including their collaborators in the civil service and elsewhere.
The group further lauded the appointment of former Governor Obong Godswill Akpabio and Chief. Sen. Tayo Alasoadura as Minister and Minister of State respectively for the Ministry of the Niger Delta Affairs.

The statement added that the mandate given by the President to the two leaders will further help bring total transformation into the interventionist agency.
The Ilaje leaders emphasized that the Interim Management Committee of the NDDC under the supervision of former Governor Akpabio was not opposed to forming a new governing board, but to ensure the successful outcome of the forensic auditing of the commission as approved by President Muhammadu Buhari (GCFR). It therefore calls for all hands to be on deck to see to the new leadership’s success.
“The two ministers should be supported to ensure that the presidential forensic probe on NDDC is successful”.
“Obong Akpabio has a good pedigree having developed Akwa Ibom state into a modern state in the country with beautiful roads, bridges, and hospitals scientific centers, airport, stadium, and other basic infrastructures.
“We expressed our belief that such a person could also turn around the NDDC which is now found to be massively corrupt.
“The two ministers should be supported to ensure that the presidential forensic probe on NDDC is successful”. It added.
The statement also described Senator Tayo Alasoadura as an astute politician who served as Commissioner for Finance in Ondo state.
“He was able to save as much as N40b during the administration of Dr. Olusegun Agagu, with so much massive development that has not been surpassed by any other administration in the state.
“Sen. Tayo Alasoadura could turn around the offshore operations in Nigeria when he was the Chairman, Senate Committee on Petroleum Resources (Upstream) the (PIB) was passed into law
“The combination of the two frontline politicians would make a great difference in checking the rots in NDDC. The statement reads.
IOGML however commended President Muhammadu Buhari (GCFR) and the leadership of the National Assembly, particularly the Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila for his supports on the anti-corruption crusade of the present administration.
